Erich grew up in Onalaska, WI and graduated from the University of Minnesota before traveling to Arizona where he attended Midwestern University for medical school. He is excited to live in the Kentuckiana region and begin his surgical training in Louisville.

Erich was impressed by the ophthalmology residency at “The Ville” which showcases a diverse range of pathology, independence and autonomy, and excellent surgical exposure. He enjoys the collaborative environment of a large academic center with multiple specialties, and faculty passionate about teaching residents.

Outside of residency, Erich enjoys sports, music, cooking, and spending time with his wife and two daughters. A golf enthusiast, he aspires to play each local course during his time in Louisville. When not in the hospital, you can find Erich exploring the local city parks with his family.
