Alex is from McKenzie, TN and earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.

Alex has loved his time in Louisville so far. He enjoys the amazing food scene the city has to offer. Cherokee park is a favorite for him and his wife to walk their dogs, Charlie and Jack. You can often find Alex on one of the many pristine golf courses around the city or rooting on the local soccer team, Louisville City, in their new stadium.

In his free time, Alex is fond of anything relating to the outdoors. He is an avid hunter, hiker, and fisherman. He also spends time outside on the golf course any chance he can get. He and his wife, Rebecca, love spending time in the kitchen cooking up delicious meals.

Dr. Rider is excited about all things ophthalmology, but is especially excited about cornea and refractive surgery. He will attend MUSC for a cornea fellowship. After fellowship, he plans to return back home to Tennessee with his wife and his two dogs.
